Unfortunately along with this growth came the problem of inflation due to an increase in the price of energy. The analysis of the situation in the EU shows that inflation is also a growing concern. The responsibility, in part lies with the Energy Carriers, because the cost of energy is a large proportion of a households expenses. The increased development/growth of a State has resulted in a greater demand for raw materials for energy and consequently the price of such has increased rapidly in recent years. This has resulted in the providers having to pass on these costs to their customers, eg. gas, electricity, oil. The last economic crisis has shown that the Energy Carriers position has changed considerably with the reduction in the price of a barrel of oil falling from 160 USD to 40 USD, in the last year. The promotion and interest in pursuing renewable energy sources in the EU indicates that energy will be even more expensive, which have an even greater influence on the inflationary processes operating in Poland and the EU.
