 abstract={The article describes production logistics in publishing company, starting from editorial elaboration to printing process. The key activities included in production schedule are: establishment of International Standard Book Number (ISBN), bar code and printing process. Author presents International Standard Book Number, the rules of its creation and benefits of European Article Numbering system (EAN) as well as different printing technics. The other important issue presented is print on demand which gives Polish publishing companies the opportunity to avoid overproduction, high storage costs and allows to adjust books features to customers demand},
