Strategic contradiction can be described as a situation that includes inconsistent and mutually exclusive but complementing factors. There is no possibility of solving these contradictions; instead we can make an attempt to reconcile them. Revitalizing entrepreneurship requires searching for contradictions instead of avoiding them. The state of organizational effectiveness requires accepting contradictions as the basis for radical changes of the existing organizational order. What follows, managing strategic contradictions is necessary for adjusting to changing environment and innovation. Taking a dialectical approach to strategic contradictions helps to exploit a range of ideas and to focus on points of contention; it also provides a stimulus for creativity and for bridging seemingly irreconcilable opposites. We propose rules of shaping organizational context by reconciling strategic contradictions.
