This article examines the institutional framework, key forms of cooperation, and challenges faced by stakeholders involved in CBC initiatives. Special attention is given to the Interreg V-A Czech Republic-Poland Programme 2021-2027 as a key instrument supporting local development, social cohesion, and the building of social capital. The activities of the Society of Friends of Czechia in Opole serve as a case study illustrating the importance of civic engagement in strengthening cultural ties and fostering a shared transborder identity. The study is based on a literature review and an analysis of strategic and policy documents.
