 abstract={Cross-border cooperation (CBC) between Poland and Czechia plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable regional development and the socio-economic integration of border areas. This article examines the institutional framework, key forms of cooperation, and challenges faced by stakeholders involved in CBC initiatives. Special attention is given to the Interreg V-A Czech Republic-Poland Programme 2021-2027 as a key instrument supporting local development, social cohesion, and the building of social capital. The activities of the Society of Friends of Czechia in Opole serve as a case study illustrating the importance of civic engagement in strengthening cultural ties and fostering a shared transborder identity. The study is based on a literature review and an analysis of strategic and policy documents. The main objective is to explore how CBC can foster lasting institutional partnerships and contribute to the implementation of the European Union’s cohesion policy amid diverse administrative and cultural contexts.},
